Can I use AI to Improve Operational Efficiency in my Partnerships?

Discover insights from G2's 2024 Buyer Behavior Report on the growing influence of AI in tech sales. Learn how AI enhances productivity and efficiency, and explore its role in partnership management.

“Improving Overall Efficiency” is one of the top use cases for AI. We would also say, Improving Overall Efficiency is something we should consider for all things partner tech as well.

I had the opportunity to read G2’s Buyer Behavior Report for 2024. It’s a fascinating read for anyone growing their tech company, or working on selling to tech buyers. They spend a good amount of time right at the beginning focusing on the importance of AI and it’s impact in a buyer’s consideration of your product or service. AI is definitely interesting, and I don’t think we’ve even scratched the surface of what it’s going to help us create.

G2 shared that when a buyer considers an AI tool, they are expecting to see an immediate increase in productivity and efficiency. In fact, that is one of the greatest use cases for AI right now—move on from the menial tasks and into the work that really matters.

But in partnerships, can we automate relationships with people?

We like to say around here that, “Companies don’t partner with companies. People do.” But before you write me off as a Luddite, I’m not completely against AI in partnerships. What I am advocating for is using AI as the tool that helps you get your partnerships done.

First comes knowing how to partner well, then comes automation and AI.

That’s why at CoPort, we’re here to help build the infrastructure of what a good partnership program looks like for you. Yes, we have templates and workflows to help you build your partnership program from the ground up, but more importantly, we empower you to adjust your workflows as you grow and learn.

Growing your partnership program and helping your company succeed with partnerships is going to take time, learning, and doing the work.

We might be able to automate and use AI to know which companies to target, but then when I’m in a meeting and I’m trying to figure out if our company aligns well with theirs and if the new integration will actually solve a problem our customers want solved, AI won’t figure that out—I will. (See what I did there?)

“Improving Overall Efficiency” is one of the top use cases for AI. We would also say, Improving Overall Efficiency is something we should consider for all things partner tech as well.

AI won’t solve your problem for why partnerships aren’t working at your company. AI can’t fix a system that doesn’t exist. We advocate for partner leaders to build the systems that will help create repeatable processes that have been tried and true over time. Then, we add the tooling in place for AI to push through those steps.

What does that mean at CoPort? It means we’re helping lay the foundation for you and our customers to build partnerships that help their companies grow. Yes, right now there’s some manual work, but we’re just getting started. We’ll help you build the system that helps your company succeed through partnerships. Then, we’ll help you automate that work as you scale.

Let’s start at the beginning, lay the foundation, and then leverage the power AI and new technology to help you scale.
